6-Step Quality Checklist for Your Georgia-Pacific EnMotion Paper Towel Dispenser Installation

If you’ve ever finished a bathroom install only to get callbacks for a dispenser that won’t feed properly, you know the frustration. Fixing a mis-installed unit after the walls are painted and fixtures are in place is easily 3x more expensive than getting it right the first time.

Step 6: Final Visual and Label Inspection

Last look:

  • Scratches or dents on the cabinet surface – especially likely if the unit was stored carelessly.
  • Door fits flush – a gap of more than 1/8 inch will let dust and moisture in.
  • The brand logo or instructions sticker is visible and not upside down. Sounds petty, but I’ve rejected a unit because the door was installed backwards. (That cost us a 30-minute replacement visit.)

Common Mistakes I See Repeatedly

  • Forgetting to install the battery in the battery-powered version after mounting. The unit looks fine, but nothing happens. The installer assumed the battery was already inside.
  • Mounting directly over a pipe chase or electrical box – the anchors hit metal and crack the tile. Then you have to move the dispenser 6 inches, leaving exposed holes.
  • Not leaving enough clearance for the door to swing open fully. In a tight ADA stall, the dispenser door might hit the toilet partition. Check clearance with the door open at 90°.
